Christian Recknagel

Dojo-cho and Chief Instructor

Christian Recknagel holds the rank of Nidan (2nd degree black belt) and is a student of Greg O’Connor Sensei. He has studied with O’Connor Sensei since 1995 and is certified to teach through Aikido Centers, O’Connor Sensei’s organization. Christian has enjoyed exploring the many interpretations of aikido by teachers from different lineages and affiliations from around the world.

He has served as a consultant/facilitator to many clients ranging from fortune 100 companies, small and midsized organizations, as well as local municipal government and non-profits.  His approach is to enable leaders at all levels to realize their natural capacity to lead and encourage their ability to access that capacity more consistently.  Aikido serves as a powerful metaphor for effective leadership due to its philosophical alignment with compassionate engagement, efficiency of movement and action, accountability for collaborative results and transforming conflict.
